I have been a teacher for over 15 years!  I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I was in the 5th grade because I had an amazing teacher who believed in me and I wanted others to have the same experience.   I love working with students so much that I often take on extra tasks and have organized the school talent show, upper grade field day, the school canned food drive, and the upper grade science fair.   I also am the co-coordinator for our GATE program and teach intervention reading after school.   I have also coached basketball and taught ballet and dance.

History and reading are my favorite subjects- but I love learning anything new!  I graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a history minor.   Most recently I received my masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University.

I love everything Disney and visit Disneyland throughout the year.  I have ran 1 full marathon, over 35 half marathons, and countless 10ks and 5ks.  I have a four year old daughter named Makenna and a two year old Madelynn.  Plus three dogs at home- Mac, Charlie, and Dee and a turtle my class rescued 2 years ago named Michelangelo!  Starbucks is my favorite treat on Fridays.
